I am a left-wing Israeli. There is much that I don’t agree with in this government’s actions. But what you’re doing here is terrible: taking a very complicated situation and flattening it to appear as if there is good and bad, falsifying facts in the meantime.

Let’s just take the start of your article:

  1. Were Arabs kicked out of their homes in 1948? Yes. Was it during a war that Israel did not instigate, of a small Israel nation against the entire Arabic world (Egypt, Jordan, Lebannon, Syrya…) — also yes.
  2. Are Israelies appropriating Arab culture?Absolutely not. What most people don’t know, is that while many Jews came from Europe, about half of Israelies are Jews who lived in Arab countries for centuries, and the food and music are their own. We’re not all hipsters who thought it would be cool.

It is clera that while you might know about the situation, you do not know anything about Israel. Taking a complictaed situation and twisting it to look simple might make for inspiring reading, but it only keeps the flames burning.
